Once again the band had the pleasure of performing at the Rochester Dickens Festival over the weekend of 1st and 2nd June. The glorious weather (especially on the Saturday) presented a number of hazards including sunburn and the potential for heatstroke but fortunately, past experience of the festival came into play and everyone was well prepared. The band played to large and appreciative crowds who readily commented on the high quality variety of its performance which included items such as ‘Prismatic Light’, ‘Symphonic Suite from Mary Poppins’ and ‘Let Me Entertain You’ as well as a number of excellent solo items.
Thanks must go to our guests who have filled in for absences during this busy period of five engagements over two weekends, the band is now looking forward to a couple of free weekends before its next performance which is at Broadstairs Bandstand on 23 June 2019.
You can find a selection of photographs and short video clips below. Thanks to Derek Chandler for allowing the band to use them.
