Playing Dean Jones’ Glorifico Aeternum, the Band were placed second out of nine competing bands in the First Section of the 2008 Autumn Contest at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall . Ian Lanceley, the Band’s Principal Cornet player was awarded the cup for the Best Instrumentalist in the First Section.
